Mathew Jimenez

Mathew Jimenez is a kid in my service learning project for math. He is a goon. He is a gangster. He is one of my best friends because we always make jokes and he gives me rides to my house which is in Carol City. On Wednesday nights we meet up at club L.I.V and we build puzzles, as well as crossword puzzles. I met my friend Mathew Jimenez in my math class and we instantly hit it off. He smokes a lot of marijuana and gives my friend Franklin dimes for free. I could not ask for a better friend!

2nd Debate

Paul Ryan vs. Biden. Biden represents Obama and the democrats while Ryan represents the republicans with Mitt Romney. As I’ve said before I like Romney better. Although I am going to republican I have always said that I thought Paul Ryan was a buffoon. I saw Stephen Colbert expose him on his show by showing how incorrect Paul Ryan’s accusations of Obama actually were. Biden clearly won this debate against Paul Ryan in a much similar way to how Romney beat Obama in the first debate. Politics is a very sticky situation and many people get fooled because most of these politicians stretch the truths. That is why it is very important to go to fact checker and make sure everything they say is true especially when they speak about statistics.

Jose Alvarez

Jose Alvarez is William Alvarez twin brother. William can be precisely compared to Thor, while Jose is alot more like Loki. Jose Alvarez is slightly more feminie and choose to paint his nails a in very fluorescent colors like neon pink. his favorite color is perfushia. He choose to write his essays for English in an “artsy” manner. The other day he was wearing a colorful shirt in which he was contemplating of taking off his shirt in the middle pf the lounge because he was offered $3 for it. William is favored more in the family royalty and was even given his own boat. On the other hand Jose got a raft to use instead of a yatcht because his father said his arms were a bit fragile. We’ss see how this royal family develops over the years and how this sibling rivalry develops.

Romney>Obama... For Now

Romney vs. Obama’s face to face debate last night showed a clear winner. Although I'm probably not going to vote, I am for sure decided on which candidate is readier to solve a lot of the United States problems. Romney completely embarrassed Obama last night and it was clear that Romney has more answers to questions than Obama does. Many times Obama would try to say something about Romney and then Romney would just prove him wrong and make him shut up. If the second debate goes like this one, then Romney is clearly the better option, and if he doesn't get elected then this will a complete embarrassment to us as voter for going with Obama just because he's black or because he is more likeable.

Just Venting..

Since this is MY blog then I am going to talk about what I want to talk about. I do not agree with gay marriage. I was raised in a Catholic faith and gay marriage is unacceptable. I have no problem with gay people and them falling in love, but in no way should they get married. Marriage is a sacred thing between a man and a woman who are in love and there should be no excuse. I'd also like to point out these people that want to talk about gay rights in the middle of the street of Wolfson. If I say I'm busy or on my way to class I don't want to hear it. Do not try to engage in a conversation with me about gays because I am obviously in a hurry. I have a quick temper and someone might get a piece to their face. (Hood talk) lol.

Blessed

Every day I thank God for what I have and I try not to take for granted anything in my life whether it’s financially, health, or family wise. I thank the Lord so much for what he has given me and my family but sometimes I wonder.... How was I so fortunate to have all of these great people around me? Our health? I could have been anyone in the world. Right now I could have been an African living in a small hammock barely eating, or even born into a life of drugs, and violence, but God chose to bless me and I will always be appreciative of that for the rest of my life. These arrogant snobs really need to reflect on their lives and just be thankful for what they have. That is one of the reasons of why I don't stress everything too much. I just live thankful to be where I am. Some people work hard their whole lives and still don't get what I have as an 18 year old. I am forever grateful to God and for what he has done for me and my family.

Different Environment

The honors college has showed me the many different things that u can notice about where u come from. Most of these kids in honors program are from Coral Park, Gables, and Belen etc. My friends and I are from Miami High and we've seen things by the time we we're 10 most don’t see until they r in college.  I was raised mainly in my grandma’s house for the first 8yrs of my life because my parents we're always working. I saw coke went I was 8 year old and there we're a handful of murders around my grandma’s block that taught me a lot at a young age. Also, the slang in which I and my friends speak is almost unheard of by most kids in the honors college. It makes me feel like I don't belong sometimes because all of these kids use big words, and are extremely friendly. I like this, but it has taken us some getting used to. In Miami high most kids are trying to be "hard" so it is harder for people to be friendly because it looks like everyone is mean mugging at you. I'm glad that my surroundings have changed because this will help me in my adult life because to be honest no one is going to respect a 25yr old telling people "yo bruh".
